I have just finished indexing the book titled "History of the Good-Hileman Family" by P.G.Bell, and have put all my information on-line.

This book was written in 1912 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The subject of the book is the Hileman family and many associated families. This HILEMAN line originated in York Co., PA with John Michael Hileman/Heilman, son of Johannes Heilman, however, the book covers John Michael Hileman and his descendents after their move to Blair/Huntingdon County c1795.

The book does not have a "every-name" index, so I created one for those who have the book and who would like an index. Also, I have transferred all the names and dates to a Gedcom file and created a family tree solely based on the book.

Their are 2,944 individuals, 831 surnames of which 360 are HILEMAN and 2 HEILMAN. If interested you can access the tree and the every-name index at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hileman/

If you make a connection and want to know all that is in the book about the person, drop me an e-mail from the web page and I'll look it up for you.

Hal Hileman
