My wife's family traces its ancestry back through John Brader to Benjamin Broeder and Elizabeth Heil. Their research indicates Elizabeth (who also married Charles Raitz) was born to Philip Heil (1782-1839) and Susanna Best (1789-1865). She had brothers John, Jacob, Samuel, Philip and Levi.

Their research also indicates Philip Heil was the son of John Heil and Barbara (unknown). Susanna Best was the daughter of John Best (1743-1823) and Elizabeth Schneider (b1750).

John Best was the son of Jacob Best (1717?-1789) and Anna Catherine Lefevre (1724-1816). Jacob Best was the son of Jeremiah Best. Anna Lefevre was the daughter of John Lefevre and Anna Christina Wentz.
