I have done some Hile Genealogy research in the past and discovered that the Hile or Hiles lineage goes back to Germany and my ancestor Hile's were Hessian Soldiers who came to America in the Revolutionary War Period. There were three brothers in my line, Heinrich,Peter,John or Johann. Two fought in the Revolution and are on the Hessian Soldier Lists having fought under one General Loewenstine. They stayed and settled in Pennsylvania where they married and had children before relocating to Ohio. Most of their offspring can be found in Perry and Fairfield Counties in Ohio. There are some deep secrets with one of the sons or grandsons of the initial Henry. This Henry the 3rd, who disappeared in 1834 leaving a wife and 5 kids behind. Some say he was killed or died by accident or disease and buried in the canals on which he worked in Ohio. Its awfully fishy. Anyhow, sometime I may post all that I have for I was able to run the line back to close to 1500 in Germany as well. One of the most unbelievable events happened to me while I was over in Lancaster Ohio doing genealogy research at their local library. It is one in a 10 million chance of happening. As I was in the library, I took my materials over to a table and one other fellow was using the same table and over on the microfilm projector. I sat down at the table and my eyes happen to fall on this fellow's material on the same table and lo he was a Hiles with some of the exact same material for which I was looking for. It's one thing to go and find an ancestor in a book it's another thing to go and find a live relative who is your blood cousin who you have never seen before. Coincidentally his name was Gary Hiles as well and we both had the same grandparents 4 generations back. What 's even more incredible is the fact he worked nights and was only in that library a couple of hours. The fact I was there at the exact same time is unreal.
