I just received information from obits on the Florence Adell Mott I have been chasing for years and find that she was born Feb 1855 in NY to Truman A. Hart and wife Esther E. (---). Florence md. William H. Mott ca 1881 and they had a son Truman A. Mott.
My question about Florence is this: what was her connection to a Maria (Lambert ) (Mack) Hildreth? In the will of Maria who died 1888 she left $50.00 to Florence Adell Mott, no relationship mentioned as was done with the others to whom she made provisions. Somewhere in my Mack/Almy ancestry there is a known but unknown Mott family connection but it continues eludes the two of us who have some photos and other items that prove there is a connection but we just cannot find it. Also, the middle name Adell has been used by others who were known Mack descendants connected to my line/ancestry.
Am hoping someone can finally solve this mystery....
