Province of New York - Marriage Licenses
Names of persons for whom Marriage Licenses were issued by the Secretary of the Province of New York, previous to 1784.
Believe these to be the children of Peter Abrahmsz Van Deursen and Mary/Maria HILDRETH, she being the daughter of Benjamin HILDRETH and Eytje. Not sure whether Ann and Mary had multiple marriages, but this is not out of the realm of possibility as death of a husband meant that in the very near future there after the wife/widow would remarry as much for financial / family reasons as anything else. Divorce was also a possibility but can not at this time verify that in light of the potential multiple marriages.
