Regarding Susanna Hildreth, a sixth generation Hildreth and the ninth and last child of Paul and Hannah (Merrill) Hildreth, I cannot confirm her birthplace, as there is no mention of either the date or place in the Hildreth Volumes, only that she died June 28, 1847 at age 63. This indicates that was born circa 1784. Her husband,Francis Douglass, with whom she had 9 children, outlived her by about 17 1/2 years, having d. Jan. 30, 1865. Susanna's father Paul, (according to the History of Litchfield) d. 26 NOv. 1820 in West Gardiner, ME. Hildreth Volume IV, page 21 covers Susannah's genealogy as does the Hildreth CD. Her father Paul's genealogy is covered in Hildreth Family Association's Volume III, page 29, and also on the Hildreth CD. We have no further genealogy, other than the names and birthdates of the Douglass children. I note that Susannah's oldest brother David, b. Nov. 9, 1770, m. Ester Moody who was b. in Waterloo ME. David and Ester had 10 children. His genealolgy is on page 18, of The Hildreth Family Association's Volume IV, and on the Hildreth CD. It states that Ester was "probably" the dau. of Samuel and Ester Moody.
