Hi: First off let me say that I don't recognize any of your family at this time, but you are working about a generation before any information I have that is very concrete. I think my family started out in Washtanaw County about 1837-40 staying with relatives, but eventually settled in a part of Ottawa County by 1850. This eventually became part of Muskegon County. If you have any other HILDRETH lines from Michigan, or VT., I would like to see them. It is a good bet that several families (closely related) came over from VT. sometime around or before Michigan getting it's statehood in 1837. So it is also reasonable to guess that we may be working along the same lines. One thing I did notice about your posting of the women's names, at least one of them is a nickname. Libbie was short for Elizabeth. I also have a Libbie who was born 5 Jan 1849 to Joseph and Elizabeth HILDRETH. Also Lillie could be short for something like Lillian or Lillyan.
