Looking for info on my gr-grandfather " David R. Hilderbrand " born 12-13-1866 in PA. Kansas Death certificate says Father UNKNOWN and Mother Anna Simpson. I belive his mother remarried after the death of his father (at least I assume that he died, I don't know what happened to him) to Joseph Simpson. All Census records state that he was born in PA but his death certificate says he was born in Wheeling PA ( no census records show West Virginia) I have been unable to come up with a Birth Certificate for David.
He married Mary L. Majors in 1888 in KS.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
