Father was Harry Emanuell Hilbert
B.3/25/1889 in Sunderswall,Sweden, D.1/16/1957
M. 11/5/1934 - in Balboa, Canal Zone, Panama
Wife was Harriet E.Beebe
B.3/20/1895 in Brooklyn, New York.
D.11/11/1969
He had two sisters. One lived in Canada, her & her husband were killed in a car wreck in Canada around 1941 or 1942. Their 3 children were sent to an orphanage. I do not know anybodys name, not even his parents.
His parents had a dary farm, and at age 10 he left his home somewhere in Missouri. I remember Dad saying his family went back to Germany. He was a fireman on the railroad and then he served in the Cavalry, Infantry, WWI & WWII. He retired from the Army in San Antonio,Texas and is burried at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetary.
