This is correct in that there are many people who are desperate to fill in the blanks.
The best results will be achieved when all "researchers" take the time to offer corrections to the "compilers".
It may be an easier route for some to offer up criticism of others efforts than to work together to resolve and correct known problems.
The sad reality is that many "official" records have been destroyed, and many others are as full of errors as are the alleged wrongdoings/omissions of the compilers. I'm sure that everyone would like their genealogical efforts to be as accurate as possible.
