Oldham is in Christian Co Tax List for 1799, District 2: the categories by each name are
White males over 21, White males 16-21, Blacks over 16, Total blacks, Horses and cattle and then acres owned, watercourse and county.Oldham has 1 male over 21 and 1 horse or mule.He isn't listed in the 1797 or 1798 Tax Lists for Christian. In 1800 District 2 becomes part of Livingston Co. Oldham doesn't appear in 1800 or 1801 for Livingston, but in 1802 Oldham appears on the west side of Livingston creekwith one male over 21 and 1 horse, etc. no acreage and Austin is also there with one male over 21, one 16-20 and two horses or head of cattle,no acreage. "County" is apparently where they were coming from or living. These books are transcriptions by Don Simmons copyrighted 1974 and 1975. Livingston creek appears on my atlas running along part of the border between what is now Crittenden and Caldwell Cos.just north of Fredonia and east of Mexico.
