Hello Everyone, I posted a reply that will show up on Page 4 of these queries to let you know that I am still alive and kicking around these Oklahoma Hills Where I Was Born. I have not been actively researching Hightowers for several years, but have a large database of information of what I collected of them and any others that fitted in with families of central USA, etc. I worked several years at the Tulsa, OK Family History Center as a non-church member volunteer and loved it and the people there. Such dedicated people. I gathered a lot of info from their files and merged in with my database and have continuously added info by hand through the years as I found more from various sources, census records and history books. I am willing to check the database for your specific names and share via email. Usually a 'gedcom' file is the handy method of exchange. Currently my database is over 90K persons.
I have always declared my method of research as this: I do not research for hire, do not publish nor do I plan on publishing any info I have, only that I share willingly with others when I have data that they need. I want to express my displeasure with those who have benefitted monetarily from the research gathered by others and shared with them without giving a word of thankfulness. I think the heart of genealogy AND family is of 'sharing' what we have.
Hoping that each of you are enjoying the Peace of God in your daily lives, the understanding of why we are placed here on this earth and smile daily at those around you. You'd be surprised at how a simple smile could be the 'only' cheerful expression of friendliness that the other person has received.
