Mary Highly/Highley (b 1798 in PA), d/o Henry Highly/Highley
Looking for some information on John S. Pennypacker (1795-1835) and his wife Mary Highly (1798-1835) -- I believe that they left Pennsylvania for Rockingham County, VA in around 1826. I have seen information about their family suggesting they had 10 children -- the dates of birth of their children would suggest that they left many young orpahns when they both died.
Does anyone know what happened to these children after their parents' death and/or what caused the death of John and Mary at such young ages? Does anyone have an obituary for either of these individuals?
Finally, I found a marriage record for John and Mary that shows Mary's father as Henry Highly., but I don't have any further information about him. Does anyone know if this Henry Highly/Highley was the same Henry Highly (b 1772) who married Hannah Saylor and who was the son of John Highley and Elizabeth Taney? This surname may have been spelled "Heilig" in earlier generations.
Any help that you could provide would be most appreciated.
