I have a Nathaniel Highly/Highley that was married to Malinda Hudspeth.Malinda was the daughter of George (middle name Washington, I think)Hudspeth, (abt. 1766, NC- 1827, Washington Co., MO.) and Sarah Wood(s) or Sarah Hughes (there's some disagreement here amoung Hudspeth researchers). There was a George Hudspeth that served in the Washington Co., MO legislature in 1820, and I believe it to be this George. His widow Sarah was listed in the 1830 Washington Co., MO census.Malinda was b. about 1812, and married Nathaniel Highley April 15, 1827 in Washington Co., MO.There is a Nat Highly listed in the 1830 Washington Co., MO census, he and wife both listed as between 20-30 yrs. old.I assume this to be Nathaniel & Malinda, but I can't find them in 1850 census, nor do I know anything about their children.I would love to have more information if you have children's names, or know where they were after 1830.
