Hello Jean,
I live in Highley and recognize the names of Malpas and Catley. In fact I think there are still descendents of the Catley family in the area.
Where do you live?
My great-grandmother was the local midwife in Highley and I have her Register of Births. There are two births recorded in the name of Malpas, one in 1914 and one in 1915. If you would like to pass on your Mother's birth date I could check it out and make a photocopy of the entry if you are interested.
