I understand that names were spelled differently when people came to america. what I don't understand is the difference between Highfill and Highfield. Is this a change that only occurred after they arrived in america or did this variance happen before that. I'm just wondering how much work I may need to do searching the Highfield line when I have done most of my searching on the Highfill line. Any help you can give me is appreciated.
