Hi Iris,

It seems extremely unlikely that the are the same family although there may be a link further back. The children of my Richard were born at regular two year intervals and there is no room for your Richard although it is surprising that none of the boys were called Richard as the name goes back to the 17th century.

Looking at the census for your Richard he seems to have been born in Rowsham according to the 1861 census and Wingrave according to the 1871 census. Rowsham is a hamlet close to Wingrave and so these are consistent. It is on the A418 about 3 miles from Aylesbury but about 15 miles from Loughton. My Higgs family lived in the area around Loughton, which is now Milton Keynes for 3 hundred years.

David
