My Higgins family is from Franklin County.

Thomas Higgins b.1818 Ga. married Polly Davis

William D. Higgins -(there is question as to whether this is a child but listed as son on census)
Barnett Terrell Higgins - (question as to whether is a child but listed as a son on census)
Note: will explain more on this in email as it is very difficult to explain. I find them listed with Jordans on other census and listed living with their grandmother Luvicy Davis on 1870 census so not sure who they belong to and why they were back and forth between these families.

Note: This line gets very confusing because Vandiver and his wife Frances died before all the children were grown therefore they were all split up and lived with different family and friends. Vandiver died first and then some years later Frances died. Some of the sons moved to Alabama after they were grown and as far as I can tell stayed there until they died. I descended from the daughter Minnie Higgins which married Joseph Jackson of Hart County, Ga.
