I was wondering if you had found out anything else on this line of Higginbotham? my Higginbothams came to Eliam, Elbert Co, GA from New Jersey sometime after 1860. I have found several Higginbotham families there and am in belief they may all be of the same familiy line. Mine is Robert A (Annie?) Higginbotham married to Cora Jane. Robert may be the third generation of Robert A. Higginbotham in my line, meaning his father and grandfather both carried the name - if I am correct. From the looks of it, Robert was born in GA, His Father in GA, but his Grandparents were born in Ireland. They were first in New Jersey in 1860. 2 children born in Ireland, 1 born in England, and 2 born in New Jersey. Then the younger Robert shows up in Eliam, Elbert County, GA in 1900 with his children, along with another 15 year old child named Robert A. Lee from New Jersey who is listed as a boarder. In 1910, Robert A. Lee is no longer living there, and there are 2 Hood's boarding with them. I would really like to make some connections here. In LaGrange there is a highway named after the Higginbothams. I would like to find out what that is all about too! ;)

If you have anything at all, I think the Elbert County Higginbothams may be linked.
