Sorry to be so slow in replying to your message. That's interesting that your father said Higgason was Norwegian. I had a hunch it might have been, but of course no proof. I think through DNA, though, we could figure out these connections more easily since we're stumped with the paucity of VA records during the period in which we need them. I'd like to know how Larkin is related! I just know that he most probably is.

Virginia Witherington and I corresponded for several years before her death. She was a very nice lady, and she and I had fun trying to corroborate our data, but we never could make the link for certain.
