My father was Elmer Gene Higdon, married to Barbara Barr(Bobbi) in the 1950's. Together they had me and my sister, Jennifer. After their divorce my mother stayed in the Pacific Northwest and I have never met any of my dad's family. My father died in 1965. He left behind a wife (Beverly) and a newborn son (Marc Collin Higdon), whom I met once but have now lost contact with.
I know Elmer Gene's father was James Calvin Higdon, married to Norah Ball. My dad was born in Gadsden in 1935. I am anxious to meet my "other family" and I was very excited to learn of this website and see so many Higdon postings! Please contact me if you are family or can tell me anything about my father. I didn't know him at all because I was so young when my parents split up.
