JOHN L. HIGDON & ELIZABETH APPALONIA MILES had 12 children born Harrison Co., Missouri; moved to Pottawatomie Co., Oklahoma 1902. John died 18 Feb 1903 near Vista, Pottawatomie, Okla.--left a will. Elizabeth died intestate 6 Feb 1907 near Vista. Estate papers list 10 living chlidren, ages, places of residence: J.F. HIGDON, J.C. HIGDON, J.L. HIGDON, MARY SEYMOUR, ALICE MARTIN, LUCY SMITH, W.A. HIGDON, B.A. HIGDON, ROSE MELTON, BLANCHE HIGDON. Probate filing was 11 Feb 1907; Final Accounting was 2 Dec 1910, Final Decree,3 Jan 1911. Both John & wife Elizabeth buried Sacred Heart Cem. between Asher & Konowa, Okla. Have full names & some information on children & marriages. John's daughter FRANCES ROSE HIGDON md. RILEY MELTON, had two children, died as infants, buried at Sacred Heart Cem. ROSE MELTON living at Roff, Okla. in 1910, possibly Hickory, Murray Co., OK in 1918. When did she marry FRANK RYAN? She was MRS. FRANK RYAN & living in Los Angeles in 1925 when brother Joseph F. Higdon died. When did ROSE die and where? BLANCHE HIGDON md CHARLES C. TITUS; JAMES C. HIGDON md MARY PERRIN, CARRIE ______, and AMY ______. BERNARD md JESSIE ________; he died 1947 at Liberal, Barton, Missouri. Have more information & will share.
