Of course William Hickocks is an ancestor of Wild Bills. William had two sons, Samuel & Joseph. Following Joseph Hickocks line to Joseph Hickock, then to Stephen Hickok, then to Aaron Hickok, then to Oliver Otis Hickok, then to William Alonzo Hickok, and then to James Butler (Wild Bill Hickok) Hickok, and there you are. As for the David, I have so many Davids in my data base of almost 10,000 you would need to be more specific for me to tell you how David fits in.
