Seeking information on Anna or Annie Wilson, also known as Indian Annie, Ellsworth, KS 1860's - 1870's. Was known to have a connection/relationship with James Butler "Wild Bill" Hickok and is sometimes referred to as his "wife". After being deserted by Wild Bill, Annie married a man named Wilson (Ben?)in Ellsworth and they had a daughter named Birdie. Wilson also deserted Annie. Indian Annie is said to have worked at the White House Hotel or Grand Central Hotel in Ellsworth. Daughter Birdie married Edward Berry and eventually they moved to the New Mexico Territory. Plaque located on golf course in Ellsworth KS reads "Indian Annie lies on the knoll above, companion of Wild Bill Hickok in Ellsworth, Kansas, Died 1883".

Please contact if you have additional information regarding Indian Annie/Anna Wilson or contacts.
