Never in my wildest dreams Glennis did I ever imagine a turn of events such as this.As you already know my Youngest Son instigated the search,he was born in 1973,May 4th.Several weeks ago he joined a site Trees.ancestry.co.uk,mainly to discover his Father's side of the family, his Grandparents both were born in England,as was his Father, they immigrated to Australia when my ex hubby was about twelve.Everytime he would add something,or find information I was notified. As it happened last week I think it was(all is a bit of a haze at the moment)maybe it's the 5years and Ten days that are responsible!I loged in and viewed what he had added etc.Just before loging off I happened to notice at the top of the site an option suggesting searching other sites/avenues for Hickson.Consequently when I hit the link I was given three possible connections. One I think was google, the other took me to your message on Genforum 'curious'.Noticed someone had posted a short reply and made connection with the information.Went to the other two searches which were mainly American Hickson's.Because you had mentioned Sydney,I figured this would be my best option. It was not untill I was ready to post my reply to you that I noticed you had posted four years prior,as well a little sign came up which said post also to Australia or the like, was too late I had hit the send button,my heart sank. That's blown any chance now was my remark to Hubby, this was written four years ago!!Honestly Glennis I thought I would never hear from you.I do feel someone is guiding us?Bit hard to explain here, further down the track perhaps.
My eldest child(Daughter) was born in 1968 March 3rd,and eldest Son 1971 Febuary 1st.I have been married three times,as you can see by the 1968 date I was very young when I first married in April 1967.My Husband and I have not long celebrated our 24th Anniversary also in September,we lived together for two years prior,(Nagging Parents)...Lol.
Not long after our marriage we moved to live in Papua New Guinea 3 year contract. It was just prior to this move that I found out I had been adopted, although I must add I had suspicions from a early age,the biggest shock to me was my Mother was not my biological Mum,I honestly thought she was, there was always a cloud in my mind about Dad though, however another story for another day hey Glennis.
I must say I am over the moon, and do wish to continue getting to know you and all about your Family, especially Charles.
Take care,Annie
P.S.Did you every discover any elusive Cousins?
