He and his adult children migrated from Chester Co., SC to Lincoln Co., TN prior to 1830. In the 1850 census, William was listed in Lincoln Co., TN in the household of his grandson, John Hicklin. Samuel McCollister, age 18 (born SC), is also listed in John's household. I believe Samuel was probably also William's grandson. John Hicklin was granted guardianship of Samuel McCollister by the court in Lincoln Co., TN. Notify Administrator about this message?
