Hi Mary,My GG Grandpa was Jessie, originated the red delicious apple in Peru Iowa. He sold the rights to the stark bros. in missouri. I have pictures etc. of all most all of my family from as far back as early 1700s and quite a bit of there history, but not as much as I should have, sorry to say. I want to try and gather it all up and complete it to the present to send to Larry Anderson who has it all compiled in a book of Hiatts, but it is very time consuming.I have the crazy quilt that Jessies wife Rebecca made signed and dated.
