I am still looking for information regarding my grandfather, William Keahanui Kahakalau. I have found a little more which may help others help me! A document I found says that his mother was Keao KAHaKINO (KAHiKINO?)
and that father was Solama (never heard this name before!?),no last name next to Solama.. but maybe that's because they figured it was Kahakalau like William's last name. Found reference to Kekino Kahakalau as father of Louisa Kahikino Kahakalau b.1890's Honolulu (I think),(m.Kalahele). Also D.K.Kekino father of Julia Kahakalau (m.Pokipala and Kalawaiaa). Also know D.Kahakalau owned land on Big Island 1883, and that the Kahakalau's were on a farm in Kalihi c.1900's,and that William Kahakalau was still in Oahu (Makiki) in 1912.
