William K KAHAKALAU is my Tutu (grandfather). He was born abt.1892, I believe in Honolulu,(Oahu County), had to put that or forum would not accept! Lived in Kalihi district (on a farm,I think). We have never been able to discover who Kahakalau's mother was. Tutu used to tell us he had six sisters. He also told us his mother was Irish (grandmother?). Anyway he apparently lived with his grandmother. He left the Islands for New York abt 1916. He was a singer/ musician. Mahalo, Joan Please contact at...
