Hi Sheri,
Thank you so much for your work in digging out the Doak data from you databases. I believe you have found the missing Doak Ancestors I am trying to locate. As the Name Doak is relatively rare, I think there is a good chance that all the Doaks in Hawaii are possibly related to the original immigrant Arthur Burton Doak of 1895 or there abouts. The Arthur B.Doak Jr. that you identify is almost certainly his son. Edward W. Doak of 1900 probably IS the Harrison Walter Doak that left Compton Quebeck in 1898 to be with his brother in the Sandwich Islands. It was not uncommon for men to have two or more middle names. I intend to find a way to search for the following:
Arthur Burton Doak's marriage date and wifes name.
Names of children in addition to Arthur B.
Vital Statistics on all the children.
Death date of Arthur Burton Doak. Place of burial.
Edward W. Doak. Was he born in 1863 in Canada?
Did Edward arrive Hawaii in 1898? When did he die? What was his wifes name?Any Children.
If anyone reading this in Hawaii can help it would be much appreciated. Or if any paid researchers can help please e-mail me with information on your rates.
Thanks,
John Doak
