I don't know if you have this info, in 1920 census in Oakland, Alameda, CA, found a John Jardine born 1874 in Portugal, immigrated in 1883, wife Mary(Lawrence)?, born 1877 in Portugal, immigrated in 1884, children: Jussie 1901 in HI, Mary 1904 HI, Adeline 1904/1908 in HI could have died in 11-26-1989 in CA, I think her spouse is Albert Castro, she gone by the name Lena, they had a daughter name Alberta D born in CA., antone 1910, Isabella, and Margaret/Bella 1917 in CA.In 1930 census they are in the same area., only now with 3 of there children: Tony, Bella, and Margaret.
