Your grandparents were Pietro Savino and Ciara Antonelli
Pietro (pete) came from Grumo near Bari Italy in the late 1800's, he married Ciara (Ciarina) in around 1908 and they had 10 children. Nicholas, Leonard, Ann, Vincent, Rose, Joseph, Rocco, Margie, Frank and Catherine (Kitty). He had an ice business in the Bronx.
His son Leo was an American GI during World War II. During and rainstorm in Hawaii, he spotted a woman; he gave her a ride, they fell in love. She was I think a teacher, I beleive she may have been Japanese. My father left Hawaii and heard from her months later that she had born a son.
On his death bed my father told me this story. You may have been born in the early 40's. If you know him or if you are him please respond.
