Hej Kalani,
I'm curious about any Filipino suffix's & Prefix's. Example:
In francais(French), the "de" sujest nobility and means "of". In Irish there ar the "Ó" & "Mac" which means 'grandson of' & 'son of' ex: Ó Murchadha, Mac Kehoe etc. In francais -ett, -ette means little. ex. Fayette, Blanchette etc. . .
For my Poloyapoy surname, does it sound liek an authentic Filipino surname? . I looked up the links you've given to me, and I saw that there was this one surname that looked and even sounded liek my great-grandma's surname "Binondo". Here is the surname I saw on the link: "Binaoro". Could they be the same? .
Gabriel
P.S. My mother's father Theodore B. Sojot was born in the Cebu but came over to Hawai'i for the Plantations. He was stationed in Kaua'i on the west-side of the Island. Then later on he moved to O'ahu in 'Ewa.
