I was told to post this info here, so here goes.
In 1850 census for Wash. Co., Pa. Families of two brothers. First family:
Isaac Conklin-age 45 yrs. m. to
Lydia Conklin-age 43 yrs.
CHILDREN
Sarah-age 23 yrs.
Elizabeth-age 20 yrs.,later m. Morgan Thompson
John-age 18 yrs.,a school teacher
William -age 16 yrs.,a farmer
Henry-age 14 yrs.
Oliver-age 12 yrs., later moved to Missouri
Margaret-age 10 yrs., later m. John Dyer from Kansas. Don`t know yet if they moved to Kansas.
Samuel-age 8 yrs., became a doctor and moved to Canton, Ohio.
Stephen-age 6 yrs.
Warren-age 4 yrs., (my elusive great grandfather)
Lydia-age 2 yrs., later m. I. N. Lucas, a doctor, and moved to North Dakota.
Second family: Isaac`s brother William Conklin
William, Sr.-age 40 yrs. m. to Catherine ?-age 32 yrs.
William, Sr. was a farmer.
CHILDREN
Phoebe-age 12 yrs.
William, Jr.-age 10
Benjamin-age 7 yrs.
Cinderella-age 4 yrs.
Philetus-age 1 yr.
Living with William, Sr. and Catherine was Elizabeth Conklin-age 84 yrs. Don`t know if she is Isaac and William`s mother or aunt. I have the info about her, just have to dig it out. I have a lot of info about Conklins, Wilsons, Wingetts, Grays, Phillips, Van Syocs,Behannas and lots of other names I accumulated during my research. Census records, Civil War listings, Twp. historys for Pa.,about 10 immigrant ships listings. Will try to help anyone I can. Most of my info is for Pa.
