Look at message number 63 in this genforum. It might be your answer. Also, Heywoods have lived in the Rochdale area for centuries. Peter Heywood sold Stubley Hall to a Holt in 1592 I think. Also, southwest of Rochdale toward Manchester is the town of Heywood. You might try and find out how the town got its name. In the US, a lot of towns are names after important persons in the area or the person who donated the land for the town. Other than this, I cannot help you.
