Hi Beverly,
I spoke to my mom this morning and she said she remembered that "Reinholdt Hecht" was known as Henry, (though he was dead long before she was born). So it sounds very likely that your "Elvina Hysell" is the same as my "Lavina (Alvina) Heyssel".Hi cousin!
Also, the tombstone of Elvina/Lavina/Alvina's father, Johann Gottfried, has his last name spelled ~Heysel~, just one S.

Here's a little more information on what I think is your Reinholdt/Henry Hecht:
"Of the two daughters,.......Lavinia married Mr. Rheinholt Hecht, who emigrated with the Heyssels and was subsequently to establish a mercantile establishment, Heyssel & Hecht with F.W.T. Heyssel in Jamestown in 1877, which they purchased from the James Brothers. It was originally a log building to which they added the front two stories shortly after it was purchased..........and the store name became F.W.T. Heyssel & Sons at the death of Mr. Hecht." (page 241)
The above came from the book "Jamestown, Missouri1837 - 1987" that was published to coincide with Jamestown's sesquicentennial.

If I find out anything else, I'll let you know, and I'd love it if you'd send me all your family dates so I can add you to my ever-growing family tree.
