I am looking for any info on my heyd ancestry or info on where to look in Lake county, Michigan as i am planning a trip soon to research there. My grandmother Olga Jacquelyn Heyd (Jackie Heyd)and her sister Linda, along with two deceased brothers george and dennis were born to Guy Heyd and Mable (Mabel) McClusky. Guy, Dallas, Carl, Elton, and Norman were the five sons born to Frederick Heyd b.1869 and Mable (Mabel) Partridge b.1879. Frederick Heyd, I believe, was born in Ohio to George Heyd and Magdalena. George Heyd was born abt. 1842 in Germany, married magdalena (or Mary Magelena?) about 1867. I figure George Heyd would have had to immigrate from germany anywhere from 1843-1866. The census lists both his parents being born in germany and both of magdalena's parents although she was born in ohio. George also had, besides frederick, Eliza C. Heyd, john heyd, and george a. heyd according to the 1880 census. If you have info contact me.
