I have become interested in your Hewes family. I wish I had something to contribute besides more questions, but I really don't. I have begun to believe that my Hughes family could be descended from a Hewes family in PA. If so, that will be the fourth spelling for this family. I know that they used Hughs, Hues, and Hughes.

There was an Aaron Hughes (spelled Aron Hughs) living near my ggggrandfather George Hughes in Laurens, SC in 1790. I am sure they were related. He named a son Aaron. I have searched for many years to try and find the father or George. I don't think it was Aaron because he did not mention George in his will.

Do you have any idea where Aaron descendants all landed?
Jan
