Sandra,
Oldman's Creek is sometimes called Auldmans Creek or Ouldmans Creek. It is a creek which feeds into the Delaware River from the New Jersey side (Salem County). You can find it by searching for "Oldmans Creek, NJ" on Mapquest.com. It is near Nortonville, NJ. William Hewes had a plantation on Oldmans Creek, and also owned property across the river, in Marcus Hook, PA. The book you mention, by Joy Hughes-Jacoby is an excellent source of information on William Hewes. I'm not sure what is on the land today.
John Hewes
