Samuel Hewes b Nov 1828 in London, son of Samuel Hewes and MArtha Elizabeth Tinsley. He travelled to the US in about 1870s to fight for the "Confederate Cause" at Charelston North CL. He was never heard of again by his family. I have a letter written in 1875 by his brother to another brother William in Australia stating that he had not been heard of. Does anyone know anythign about him or where I may find possible deaths occurring during the war. These brick walls are getting harder
