Charles W. Hevener was the son of Cutlip Hefner, Jr and Mary Dasher. Do you have Mary E. Hevener's siblings. I'll list them just in case you don't. Martha J. "Mattie" Hevener, Charles Lee Hevener, William Lloyd Hevener, Susan Archibald "Sudie" Hevener, Kernie H. Hevener, Archie Clarence Hevener.
Cultip Hefner, Jr. was the son of Gotlieb "Cultip" Haefner and Catharine Shafer. He was born 1811/1812 in Sweedlin Valley, Pendleton Co., W.V. and Married 1833 in Pendleton Co., W.V. Mary Dasher who was born 1811/1815 in Pendleton Co., W.V. Cutlip died after 1880 in Criders, Rockinghan Co., Va. and was buried in Caplingers Cem, Rockinghan Co, Va (Criders). Mary died about 1846 in Hardy Co., W.V.
Back to Charles W. Hevener. He served during the Civil War on behalf of the Confederacy as a private with the 25 Virginia Co. E.
I have more information if you are interested. My maiden name is Hevener. I got my information from the book Heavner-Hefner-Hevener of the Virginias Vol 1 (Jacob). Your family line is actually of John (Johan) Haefner who was born 1725-1730 in Germany. Dennis Hevener, the author, was not able to link John to the Nicholas Hevener line that the book follows. He might of been a son on Nicholas, but somehow must be related to the other Hevener's that Dennis writes about. If you need more information let me know.
