I am familiar with the Hetzel name in southwestern Ohio in Montgomery County, Ohio and I know that a David Hetzel was an inventor in the 1800s. I have no idea whether or not the smokestack might have been related to him.

However, I did go on line and located an information organization regarding silos and smokestacks. I sent a copy of your posting to them to: I would imagine if they are interested, they might try to contact you.
