I did want to tell you that my GGrandfather John Joseph Hettinger's Death Certificate reads..Male - White - Married-dob February 28, 1841 born Germany...dod March 6, 1926 in Louisville Ky. Retired Gardener. Name of Father - Joseph Hettinger..Germany. Maiden name of Mother - Margaret Fischer...Germany.
In the 1850 census..Joseph age 44 (1806) and Margaret (Fischer) age 42 (1808) Was listed Gardener/Farmer both born Germany. I have found one other child of Joseph and Margaret, brother to John Joseph. He is Louis who was living with John J and wife Rosina (Bauer)in the 1870 Census.
