Hesters from North or South Carolina to Tennessee

I am looking for a Phibe Hester who first shows up on the Census in Marion Co. Tennessee in 1860, listed as Phibe "Hauter" which I believe to be a census takers transcription error which should be "Hester". There are three children in the home believed to be the children of a "Stephen Hester" (correct names and dates of birth) and nearby are listed all the other brothers of the Hester children. Phibe is believed to be a sister or sister in law of Stephen. The mother of Stephen's children was actually an Indian woman (possibly named Mary Jane Johns. Or maybe our info is wrong and Phibe is Stephen's wife???
