HESS FAMILY, York/Adams County, PA to Westmoreland County, PA

Believe there to be a connection between the Valentine Hess Family of Huntington Township, York(later Adams) County, PA and brothers William Hess(b.1778, PA-d. 1813, PA)and George Hess(b. 1780, MD-d. 1868, PA). Not certain when Valentine Hess immigrated to America but believe it was in 1738 in Philadelphia on the Ship Thistle. Valentine Hess died in 1785 in York County, PA. His wife was Rachel Hersey, who died in 1805 in Adams County, PA. Both Valentine and Rachel Hess died in Huntington Township in the respective counties. Rachel Hersey was the daughter of Isaac Hersey and Elizabeth Sluyter. The Hersey Family came to Pennsylvania from Delaware and before that from New England. Valentine and Rachel(Hersey) Hess had three sons: Valentine, Jr.; Isaac; and Henry. Isaac Hess was married to Lovis________. Valentine Hess Sr. and Rachel (Hersey) Hess also had two daughters, Elizabeth and Rachel. Elizabeth Hess was married to Martin Neff and had at least two children with him before her death. Believe that the brothers William and George Hess were probably the sons of Henry Hess or possibly of his brother Isaac Hess. A Henry Hess married to Maria Magdalena________ died in late 1791 in Westmoreland County, PA. George Hess' oldest son was named Isaac Lenhart Hess and was born in 1810 in North Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County, PA. Would appreciate any information which might verify a connection between these two Hess Families in Pennsylvania.
