James, thanks very much for the information on Andrew Heslep. It agrees pretty much with my information. I only guess that Andrew was born about 1725. Do you have some record about his birth? Also, you say that his daughter Mary married Samuel McSpadden. The husband's name, I believe, was McFadden. He was killed by Indians in the late 1770's; Mary remarried David Dickey. Your statement that Thomas, son of Andrew, was born in Wake county, NC, is questionable. I have seen that claim in the DAR volumes. However, Wake county did not exist in 1750. Maybe with further exchanges, I can get myself straigtened out.
