Andrew Heslep d. 1781/82 No. Car.

Wes Hogan and others suspect that there is a connection between Andrew Heslep of N.C., d. 1781/82, and Thomas Heslep of Chester Co. PA, who died probably in the 1760's. Perhaps the connection is that Andrew migrated down the wagon road in the Virginia valley to NC. This road is said by historians to have been regularly used by Pennsylvanians who were looking for cheap land in NC. Andrew is known to have bought land in NC in 1761, which means that if he used the wagon road, he was traveling during the French-Indian War. Does anyone know of any evidence that Andrew might have been in the Virginia valley during this period?
