I have seen the reference to Turner Doyle as witness at Catherine Heslep and Thomas Garner 6/4/1795,that he was a friend of Thomas Heslep.
This is just in some notes that were forwarded to me recently and I don't know the source from which they came.
I guess we'd have to see the marriage cert.
The mystery continues.
