Robert Hervey and Hannah Gibbons, Pittsburgh, PA.
Searching for information on ggg-grandparents Robert Hervey and Hannah Gibbons, who may have lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania during the 1840’s? Their birth time frame could have been as early as 1810 on up to 1830.
Found Robert & Hannah’s names on the State of Michigan Certificate of Death for their son James Hervey b. 21 Sep 1845 Pennsylvania, d. 27 May 1906 Elba Township, Lapeer County, Michigan.
Have found nothing on Robert Hervey and Hannah Gibbons since, and am curious if anyone has information on them, whether they remained in Pennsylvania or moved elsewhere. Son James joined the Union Army in camp Dennison, Cincinnati, Ohio during the Civil War, so that area may be a possibility. It is also possible they went back to Great Britain, as Robert was born in Scotland, and Hannah in England.
It is also possible that their information may not be accurate…the informant on James Hervey’s Certificate of Death was J. H. Walterhouse (John H. Walterhouse) “son in law” who was married to Mary Hervey…..daughter of afore mentioned James Hervey and his wife Jennie Fuller. He may have known Robert Hervey and Hannah Gibbons?
Any information on this family would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael Perry
