Hartog SALOMON, born Amsterdam on 6 November 1811 as the son of Levie SALOMON, "verkoper van koffie en thee op gekookt water" (boiled coffee and tea seller, probably a hawker), and Bartje HARTOG. I did a quick check in the death index 1811-1842 for both surnames, but due to time constraints did not find anything. (Civil records, 1811 birth certificates, book 5, page 144v.)

Levie SALOMON and Bartje HARTOG were married in Amsterdam on 12 March 1802. They were both 27 years old at the time, and natives of Amsterdam. Levie's parents were already deceased. Bartje was assisted by her father Hartog Simon Levi, residing in Steenvoetsteeg, Amsterdam. (Church records, microfiche 648, page 448).

No birth was registered for any Salomon Hart in Amsterdam between 1811 and 1832.
